School AMPS Overview

Measure the quality of a student’s schoolwork task performance. The School AMPS will transform your occupational therapy practice by keeping you focused on occupation.
  • Use with any student age 3–15 years, regardless of diagnosis
  • Includes more than 25 schoolwork tasks including writing, drawing, coloring, cutting, pasting, and computer work
  • Standardized on an international sample of more than 9,300 students

Administering the School AMPS

The School AMPS takes less than one hour to administer and score, resulting in a reliable and valid measure of a student’s quality of schoolwork task performance.
  • Observe a student in his or her classroom performing at least two schoolwork tasks that have been assigned by the teacher
  • Score the quality of 36 performance skills that the student enacted while working on each task
  • Use the OTAP software to generate a School AMPS Results Report that includes the student’s School AMPS measures and percentile ranks
  • Plan interventions, develop goals, write documentation, and provide evidence of change in a student’s schoolwork tasks
