To become certified in the ACQ-OP:

ACQ-OP Course Objectives

The ACQ-OP course can be completed by enrolling in an online course. This course consists of 13 contact hours.

  1. Administer, score, and interpret the ACQ-OP in a valid and reliable manner
  2. Use the ACQ-OP to promote occupation-centered and client-centered practice
  3. Integrate the ACQ-OP into your occupational therapy practice
  4. Use ACQ-OP results to plan occupational therapy interventions

The Rater Calibration Process

Once you have completed an ACQ-OP course, the next step is to complete the rater calibration process. The rater calibration process ensures that your ACQ-OP results are valid and reliable. This unique process is included at no extra cost in all ACQ-OP certification courses.

During the rater calibration process, you will:

  1. Administer the AMPS* and the ACQ-OP to 10 people
  2. Submit your data to CIOTS for analysis
  3. Receive detailed feedback based on your submitted data

Once your scoring is shown to be valid, you will receive an individualized code that unlocks powerful reports and your clients’ ACQ-OP measures based on your unique scoring severity.

* The ACQ-OP course and certification is available only to certified AMPS raters.  To get certified in AMPS and ACQ-OP at the same time, register for both an AMPS course and an ACQ-OP course.
