Task Notes

When interviewing a client, each occupational therapist must prepare a set of task notes that summarize the key elements of each essential AMPS task that are on the client-specific AMPS task option list (see AMPS manual, Volume 1, Chapter 4 for further details). These notes are a critical reference during the occupational therapy interview as it progresses to the point where the AMPS is introduced to the client, which AMPS tasks to observe are prioritized by the client, and the specific task contract is established. That is, these task notes are used as reminders of details such as how many spreads can be used on toast or sandwiches, or whether or not the person is expected to move the furniture out of the way when sweeping or mopping the floor. A complete list of all Task Notes can be found in Volume 2, Chapter 2, AMPS Task Notes.

After checking the tasks a client is about to perform, click [PRINT NOTES] at the bottom of the page.
